Kirkhill Radio Grid Site update: (New building)
Gentlemen,
I was up to the site today and though I would pass on these photos.
It would appear “things” will happen sooner than later.
From what information I have so
far, migration of the commercial microwave equipments will occur on the first
day while the rest of the commercial VHF -
Broadband plus the Amateur equipments will take place on a second day.
When all is said and done, VE1NET VHF repeater will hopefully be accessible from the MAVCOM UHF linking system.
May 2 2010.
VE1PAR Repeater Repairs.
Brad VE1ZX and I will be visiting
the VE1PAR Solar site tomorrow morning. Rewiring of the first set of solar
panels will be done from the current “series”
arrangement to “parallel”.
The complete (10 in all) battery bank will be disconnected to “load test” each battery to identify any defective or weak batteries.
Also to find out why the 220 link radio (port 4) is not (appears to be?) operational. This is direct link to/from VE1AEH repeater.
A final test of the MSR2000 VHF repeater (TX/RX), antenna SWR checks and linking.
I will post an update when these processes have been completed
Cheers for now!
